It is actually hilarious how quickly a dog can make you feel like a guest in your own home. And it is even worse when your own husband is in on the joke. Over at @itsgeorgeandjunie, things are getting a little crowded on the couch.
Mom is filming a video that shows exactly where she stands in the family hierarchy. Spoiler alert: it’s not at the top. This little rescue Mutt named Junie has a very specific bond with her dad, and she isn’t afraid to let everyone know.
Video shows dad and dog making mom feel like the third wheel
We are thrown right in the middle of this awkward family moment when the clip starts. Mom is sitting right behind Dad and Junie, who are cuddling. And they are both locked into the game. But then it happens, and Junie looks back over Dad’s shoulder with this look. It’s like she’s just making sure mom knows her position as the third wheel here.
And then Dad joins in, too. He actually turns around and glares at his wife just to really drive the point home. And it is honestly so funny.
After the glare, Junie just turns back to the TV like her work is done, and Dad just keeps adoring her. He starts planting kisses on her face and whispering all these sweet nothings in her ear in a shrill voice. Interestingly, this kind of “person-picking” is a total Mutt trait; they just find their human and stick.
Junie just yawns through the attention and then plants a kiss right back on dad’s face. It is a total love fest, and mom is just there holding the phone. The snuggling just keeps going as Dad holds the pup close, and Junie rests her head right in the crook of his neck. He then hugs her even tighter. All this while Mom is still being completely ignored by everyone she loves.

Another pointed out how Junie looked back like “Oh you still here?” It’s just the reality of living with a favorite child who has four legs.
